Our Story

We’ve often been asked, ‘Why just decks?’ but for me the answer is a no-brainer.

I can’t think of a better way to blend my love of the outdoors, the precision of finish carpentry and the creative outlet this work provides any better than through the medium of building high-quality custom decks and conservatories for my clients.

The story of Seacoastdecks really begins with my love for the outdoors.  In my family, if we could, we’d be outside all day long.  And what better way to achieve that during the Spring/Summer/Fall seasons than with a beautifully crafted deck, three season porch or conservatory?

The best deck designs should truly be an extension of your home, which is why of all the HUNDREDS of decks we’ve designed and built for our customers, no two are alike.  That is because each family has different needs to be met.  With every deck we design for our customers, one thing that we pay special attention to is keeping the design of the project within the proper confines and style of your home.  There’s nothing worse than seeing a beautiful antique-styled home with an ugly eye-sore of a deck bolted to the side of it.  It pains me to see a fellow carpenter having given NO THOUGHT to how his design would blend with the specific period of home he is working on.  Often, when ill-devised work like this is completed on a home, it can actually have a negative effect and drive the value of your home DOWN! We at Seacoastdecks will ensure that that doesn’t happen with your project.

We have been crafting custom homes, additions and remodels for two decades.

Seacoastdecks has its origins based on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.  I grew up here and from a young age began working with my father at his antiques shop building and repairing furniture, as well as rushing and caning chairs.  After heading off to college (and after a small stint in Hollywood), I graduated and began working as a political consultant.  Long story short, I quickly learned that I enjoyed the creative design+build process much more than the political rat-race and started my own company.  Along the way I was fortunate enough to work beside many talented “old-timers” that passed down to me an education in building that couldn’t be bought from any trade school today. Which is why if you hire my company you can rest assured you’ll be getting a new, modern deck, porch, or addition to your home built to the highest quality of standards which use to grace our profession.

This is a family owned and operated business, and I feel blessed to be able to have my work on some of the nicest homes you’ll find up and down the Eastern Seaboard.

If you’re looking for a new deck, porch or conservatory, or just to breathe some new life into your backyard with a new patio or gazebo, give Seacoastdecks a call.  And remember…

‘We build the deck, you build the memories’.
